Excited customers have been flocking to the new Primark Grimsby Store after the significantly extended store, delivered by Monaghans’ Project Managers, opened its doors last Thursday.
Primark has had a presence in the Freshney Place Shopping Centre since 1986, but after a temporary relocation, the 10,000ft² store has been extended and thoroughly refurbished to open a new 33,100ft² offering what is amongst the largest retail units in the town. Amanda Austin, Freshney Place Centre Director, was thrilled to be welcoming a new Primark store:
“We are delighted to welcome this new, incredible addition to the Freshney Place offering. We know our shoppers have been looking forward to the opening of the expanded store”
Following the ceremonial grand opening the atmosphere was incredibly upbeat and the store was well received by customers and the local press alike. The newly refurbished store has not only increased in size, but showcases the very latest in Primark’s contemporary shop fit in terms of design, layout and fixtures. As Primark’s 183rd store to be opened in the UK, and a landmark 350th for the company overall, this now represents a fantastic evolution of the well-known brand.
Set over two floors, the new store features the latest trends in women’s, men’s and children’s fashion, beauty and homeware. It also includes 37 spacious fitting rooms, accessible areas and customer seating on both floors where shoppers can dwell or rest whilst charging their phones and enjoying free Wi-Fi. Primark Grimsby is also one of the first to embed reminders of the brand’s ‘Primark Cares’ ethical message throughout the building.
Monaghans is proud to continue our long-standing relationship delivering new stores for Primark throughout the growth and evolution of their brand, both in the UK and abroad, over the last 19 years.
